GMF Australia teaming up with Kitchen of Hope

Kitchen of Hope is an organisation based in Siem Reap, Cambodia, which assists those suffering from poverty within the region. GMF Australia is proud to have assisted Kitchen of Hope in caring for those in need, particularly devastated by COVID-19.

When COVID-19 first hit, the health clinics in the region were shut down. The Farm Training for Village Women program and Ladies of Mondul 111 sewing projects were also stopped. In turn, the villagers that were being helped by these initiatives lost their jobs. Along with this, the lack of tourism in the area has caused major issues for the residents.

Subsequently, the Kitchen of Hope began supplying rice, fresh vegetables and emergency packs to families in need. As part of a family’s agreement to receive food support, they are asked to commit to planting a vegetable garden from the seeds that are supplied. GMF Australia is privileged to have contributed towards supporting the medical clinic in the outskirts of Siem Reap. We continue to support KOH’s bi-weekly food drive.
