An estimated 5000 children die from drinking unclean water around the world every day.

Millions of people in villages across Africa do not have access to clean drinking water.

Villagers, often women and children walk many kilometres to fetch water for their families and the reliance on surface waters which are often contaminated with faecal material is a major cause of waterborne diseases. Covered wells can eliminate the problem of contamination and provide safe and clean water.
