LALITH EBENEZER (EBBY) NEEDS LIMB SAVING SURGERY
Ebby’s Story,
In December 2018, Ebby was on his way home when he met with an accident in his hometown of Bangalore, India. A few good Samaritans found him lying unconscious on the road and took him to a hospital nearby. Ebby had fractured his femur and also his radius and ulna. He required surgery to have these fractures treated.
Within a few months of the surgery, there was pus oozing from the sites of the surgery. Ebby would wake up to his clothes and bed soaked with pus from the site of the surgery. Subsequent swab’s showing a MRSA infection.
Over a year, Ebby and his parents went from one hospital to another to try and address the issue. The answer was the same everywhere, the implants had failed, and they needed to be removed.
At the time of the accident, Ebby was working and providing for himself and his parents. Now without work, Ebby has no means to fund for his much-needed surgery.
The current plan is for Ebby to undergo surgery. The surgery would include removal of the implants, debridement of infected tissue and placement of antibiotic beads to aid in healing of the infection. This will be followed by regular physiotherapy and follow ups with the surgeon.
Please donate generously, so we can together help Ebby get back on his feet.
